ACCIDENT - Kory Gibson scored a team-high 27 points and pulled in 10 rebounds to lead Northern over visiting Keyser in an AMAC game at Northern.
After battling back-and-forth over the first 3 1/2 quarters, the Huskies pulled away in the final minutes.
Northern (4-4, 2-2 AMAC) unleased a three-point barrage on Keyser, with Gibson hitting five of the Huskies' 14 three-pointers. Garrett Gulledge had three threes and 17 points, and Jeff Smith finished with four threes and 14 points. Ed Herpel and Thomas Holtschneider scored 10 points and Holtschneider had nine assists.
Jeremy Green had 27 points, Preston Hartman 23 and Taige Redman 10 for Keyser (5-4, 2-3).
Keyser won the jayvee game 52-43 with Wes Washington scoring 18 points. Garrett Rayner had nine for Northern.
Northern plays Monday at home against Salisbury. Keyser hosts Berkeley Springs on Frida
