The Keyser Golden Tornado blew open a close game early to defeat the Berkeley Springs Indians, 74-47, on Friday evening at Tornado Alley in Keyser.
Keyser led by just 6 points (14-8) at the end of the first quarter, but then proved to be the epitome of consistency, scoring 20 points in each of the final three quarters to cruise to the 27-point victory.
The Golden Tornado led 34-20 at the half and 54-30 entering the fourth quarter.
Preston Hartman led Keyser (6-4) with a game-high 26 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 2 steals, while Jeremy Green scored 21 points and pulled down a game-high 11 boards.
Matt Wilmer added 8 points for KHS while Cody Spotts dished out 4 assists and Caleb Jones had 2 steals.
For the first time this season, every player on the Keyser roster scored.
L.J. Wright led Berkeley Springs (2-9) with 17 points while Michael Twigg and Ryan Redick each had 8.
Keyser also cruised in the JV game, 74-32.
Wes Stullenbarger and R.C. Pratt led the Golden Tornado with 16 points each, while Dillon Kraft led Berkeley with 10 points.
Both teams will return to action Wednesday, Jan. 16, when Keyser travels to take on Southern and Berkeley hits the road to face Petersburg.
