Mineral Daily News Tribune

Jordan Brooks scored a game-high 26 points and the Fort Hill Sentinels rode a 27-point first quarter to a 95-59 victory over the Keyser Golden Tornado on Tuesday evening in Cumberland.

Much like that first meeting — when Fort Hill jumped out to a 20-9 first-quarter lead — the Sentinels served notice in the opening period on Tuesday, running out to a 27-11 advantage.

Keyser played Fort Hill even in the second quarter, as each team scored 19 points to give the Sentinels a 46-30 lead at the break.

Fort Hill outscored the Golden Tornado 21-15 in the third quarter to take a 67-45 lead, and the Sentinels put the game away with a 28-point fourth quarter.

Darren Graham and Cory McCarty each had 14 points for Fort Hill, which improved to 20-2 overall and 13-0 in the Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference.

Preston Hartman and Matt Wilmer each had 16 points to lead Keyser, with Hartman pulling down a team-high 12 rebounds.
