CUMBERLAND – Keyser beat For Hill 65-39 in boys basketball Wednesday night, the Golden Tornado dominating the Sentinels to go 7-3 on the season.
Jeremy Green led Keyser in scoring with 14 points, followed by Wes Washington with 11 and Matt Wilmer with nine.
Jordon Helmick was the leading scorer for Fort Hill with 14 points, followed by Devin Lee with 13.
Keyser out-rebounded Fort Hill 52 to 25. Taige Redman was the Golden Tornado's leading rebounder with eight rebounds, followed by Jeremy Green with seven.
Wes Washington had six assists and Jarell Ross had four steals.
Fort Hill jumped out to a 7-2 lead at the start of the game, but from there it was all Keyser, with the Golden Tornado outscoring the Sentinels 50-11 through the heart of the game. The Sentinels were limited to two points in the second quarter.
Keyser led 13-9 after the first quarter, 31-11 after two and 52-18 after three.
The Golden Tornado next play Friday night against Frankfort.
On the JV side, Keyser won 74-40, with Peyton Hartman and Andrea Restelli both scoring 18, RC Pratt with 13 and Chris Halbritter with 11. Pratt had 10 rebounds and Harman eight.
