KEYSER, W.Va. — Fourth-ranked Keyser dominated Berkeley Springs on offense and defense Friday evening as the Tornado picked up its fourth straight victory and swept the season series with the Indians.
Preston Hartman finished with a double-double by scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Matt Wilmer contributed 15 points and a team-high six steals, and Wes Washington had five assists.
Keyser finished with a 37-19 edge in rebounding, and its defense did not allow a field goal until there was less than two minutes in the first half.
The Golden Tornado left the first quarter with a 10-5 lead, and was ahead 23-12 at halftime. Going into the final period Keyser had a 50-25 lead.
Eric Moss and Mike Twigg had eight points each for the Indians.
Peyton Hartman had 20 points and nine rebounds in Keyser’s 70-22 jayvee win. R.C. Pratt had 14 points and Ethan LaRue added 10. Keyser shot 40-for-53 from the floor to improve to 15-1.
Keyser (12-6) will host Petersburg on Thursday.
